Yes. XTC can be used on a motorcycle exhaust, including a Harley-Davidson. For an exhaust that lives outdoors, apply 1 to 2 coats of XTC Primer, then 1 to 2 coats of XTC color, all thin, and heat cure on the bike.
Coat Sequence
Prep the pipes by sandblasting, or with a wire wheel or 60 to 80 grit paper, then wash with KBS Klean at 10 to 1, rinse and dry. Apply 1 to 2 thin coats of XTC Primer, then 1 to 2 thin coats of XTC color. Thin coats matter: heavy films can blister when the pipe heats up.
Heat Cure on the Bike
Wait at least 8 hours after the final coat. Start the engine and idle until the XTC begins to smoke, then shut off immediately and let the pipes cool to room temperature. Repeat for three cycles. On the fourth, keep it running until the smoke fully clears, then shut off and let it cool naturally. Ventilate well during the first heat cycles. The XTC directions have the full procedure.
