The best rust sealer ever

Using Rust Blast for over 10 years, no other conversion coating matches the results and protection. The thin viscosity makes it so easy to apply if using a brush and allows it to soak into tiny crevices if dipping the part in the Rust Blast. The phosphoric acid conversion of the ferrous salt is so thin, it is invisible under top coats and even invisible if no top coat is desired. Some of my equipment has been weather exposed for years and shows no rust return on those areas treated. I occasionally buy rusted tools online for pennies because noone else wants rusted stuff, but using Rust Blast and, if needed, scale removal tools or hydrochloric acid, I have a beautiful, rust-free tool in minutes.

Works really well!

I used the tank sealer kit for a Vulcan 900 that had sat for four years with fuel in the tank. I did Step 1 once then Step 2. There was still a lot of rust in the tank so I ordered an additional quart of the rust blaster and did Step 2 again instead of straining it and reusing the rust blaster. After that I did Step 3 and it covered the entire inside of the tank and was super hard. I also replaced the fuel pump, cleaned the fuel rail, installed a new fuel line and replaced both injectors. Bike runs like brand new and the seal kit did a marvelous job. The only concern I had was when mixing the sealer I could not get all of the black streaks out of it and mixed it for like twenty minutes. The process is very time consuming but will provide an excellent seal.

Does the job well

Does a great job at a little or a lot of rust. Can be used over and over. I usually let things soak longer rather than shorter and does no harm to base metal. Reasonable price and a gallon does a lot.

It Works

I used the entire kit on two Honda ATV gas tanks. I followed the instructions, even went further with rinsings. I wanted to be certain that I'd cleared the treatments from the tanks. Because of the structure of the tanks, I did a lot more turnings than what was called for. It takes longer for the sealer to cure than I was led to believe. Be patient. I did have a problem. I assumed that because the sealer is suited from other than metal tanks, that collecting the excess in a plastic cup would be OK. Not So. The excess sealer ate through the plastic cup. It took a quart of acetone to clean up the shop floor.

Engine bay

I used the cleaner and rust blast. It works great! for cleaning and etching rust. I like the product I will be ordering more in the future.Cleaning the the engine bay preparing to paint it.This was t he just the first application wow.

Great Stuff, shoulda bought the kit.

This is great stuff. Definitely grind and sand before you etch with zinc phosphate ( step 2) . I used steel stick for any repairs. Then painted with this candy safety blue rust stop paint and wow what a difference.

Trust the 3 Step!

Regret not getting any before or after pictures but I cleaned, prepped and sealed the door sills of my 2000 toyota 4runner underneath the weather stripping because an excess amount of undesired rust had been discovered. My application process could have been made easier with the right tool but that was on me. Once this stuff dried, it is highly scratch resistant which is fantastic considering my feet tend to graze over this area, probably causing the rust in the first place. I'd trust KBS over any other kind of "Paint Over Rust" that's out there. Trust the 3 step process!

KBS Works Great

We used the three step system on our 1990 Jaguar XJS fuel tank. The car had been stored for 21 years and never ran. Tank looks like new with a very sound coating inside. Looks better than the commercial restorations costing over $600.

Im doing a resto on a 67 fastback needless to say it had been sitting a few years, I tried the KBS rust remover treatment and I was amazed how effective this is! Great product, treat it, rinse and repeat if needed.
