I can see clearly now, the fog is gone!

This clearcoat worked amazingly well. I had some deep scratches and heavy hazing on the top of my head lights, so I started with a much coarser grit sandpaper and worked my way up with finer grits. The cleaner worked great, clear coat went on and fantastic (I sprayed mine) and the longer it dried the more the orange peel went away. The instructions say that it can be cut and polished like any auto clear coat, but it looks great as it is. Saved me from buying a new set of headlights!

Good if you know what you're doing!

I saw a pair of headlights that had been restored with KBS Diamond and was thoroughly impressed. The guy used a sprayer. It REALLY should be sprayed on. I don't have a sprayer so I used the included (tiny) applicator and wound up with lots of ridges and streaks (I'd never used a sponge applicator.) I wet-sanded that down and grabbed a nice 1-1/2" paint brush for the second coat...MUCH better results and the lenses look way better, but it's still obviously brushed-on clear. 4 stars because application will be difficult unless you have some brush experience. For detail jobs I'm going to stick with Cerakote kits until I have a sprayer, then it'll be KBS all the way. This stuff just looks excellent when done right.

Easy To Use

Easy to use. Cleaned well with the cleaner and then applied 2 coats. Looks amazing and seems rock solid.

Excellent results!

I used the headlight diamond clear kit on my 2008 Subaru WRX headlight housings. They were hazy and in need of some restoration or replacement. I have tried other products before, with moderate success, however they did not last long. The Diamond Clear went on smooth and cured to a smooth hard finish that was impressively crisp and clear. I have used other KBS products and have always been happy with the results. If your headlights need attention, I would recommend that you give this product a chance. For around 10% of the cost of new lenses you can have clear housings again with results that last.

Headlight repair at it's best

The product works great, when appling with a foam brush use smooth gental strokes. Work in one direction, using a constant speed.

Quality Product but...

I scuffed the headlights and tail lights as per instructions. Then cleaned and coated. Very simple, but the brushmarks were very very bad. I suspect the sample/demo that KBS uses was color sanded by a pro and polished. I'm likely going to pay a pro myself and have them fix my DIY application. I believe a couple of light coats SPRAYED on would produce a better finish. Overall, I would recomend this as a quality product, but needs some additional attention to aplication beyond simply using a foam brush.

Works Great!

Coating kit works fine and cleared up the yellowed lenses on my Mercedes E500. Only complaint is that the coating is somewhat uneven using their foam brush, and I would next time use a PreVal sprayer to spray the lenses instead of brush them.

Works as Advertised

So easy to use I cleaned and dried my very faded headlights applied the clear coat and cleaned the brush with brush cleaner. It took 15 minuits and they look new. There is enough product to do way more than 4 headlights. I plan on doing my sons truck lights next. Time will tell how long lasting the clear coat is but 3 weeks so far and they still look new.
