Tank Sealer is a superior, single-component, ready-to-use fuel tank sealer.

Gold Standard Tank Sealer is specifically formulated to stop rust and corrosion by forming a tough, fuel impervious coating while simultaneously sealing small pinholes and weld seams.

This all-inclusive kit contains KBS Klean (a water-based, heavy-duty, cleaner/degreaser) and RustBlast (a powerful rust remover/metal etch) to obtain a permanently sealed, rust-free fuel tank. Great Scott => This Works

I tried in vein to clean my 1932 tank. It was a battle that I could never win. I used the Fuel Tank Seal kit and it worked great. Obviously, I'm very happy with it. I mounted the tank to an engine stand with a couple straps. Then I could revolve it easily.

Follow the process

This was a long process but it works. Take your time do not short cut the steps involved. Your repair will turn out great. Thankful to have been introduced to KBS Coatings.

Works Great

It was a tedious, yet effective process. It is likely the only realistic option for restoring an old, rusty fuel tank on an old tractor with hard-to-find parts. Would recommend.

Used on an old Ford diesel tractor

It was a rather involved process but it seems to have done the job. It was a diesel tank on an older tractor and a replacement tank was not offered. I also installed new fuel strainers, fuel lines and cleaned the filter bowl and put a new filter in. Once the air was gotten out of the system it seems to be getting good, clean fuel. I've tached up 11 hours so far and all is good.

Good fix for an old tank

I bought this to renew the gas tank in a 57 chevy station wagon. Been working on this car for many years (mainly a hobby project) and decided to get it running 'again' to be able to move it around to use the garage better. Figured that it wouldn't be too bad. Well, I got it running alright but it wouldn't stay running. Knew that there was enough gas in the tank but there was a problem. Opened up the drain plug on the tank and a lot of rust particles came out. Now the tank has been in the car since 1957. It needed to be replace or 'really' cleaned out. So I purchased a 53000-S Auto Fuel Tank Sealer Kit from KBS Coatings and had at it. After scraping off all the undercoat and dirt, I pressure washed it inside and out. Then followed the procedure for the tank seal prep after which I applied the tank seal coating. To finish I used Rust Blast on the exterior and primed it with KBS Fusion, self etching primer. Topping it off with a coat of Rust Seal.

Gas cans sealer

I used the coatings to clean and seal two 5 gallon Jerry cans which went very well. Followed the directions exactly and checked for leaks afterwards. None found. I can get these two cans back in service now for half what it would have cost for new cans. Bert’s satisfied customer!

Saved $325.00

I had drivability issues with my Ls swapped 66 c10. Found rust inside the aftermarket fuel tank clogging fuel filter and pick up screen. Used this product to clean and seal the tank ,it worked great! Problem solved and saved at least $325.00 on a replacement tank. I highly recommend!

works great

I have used this on 2 antique farm tractor gas tanks with great results. I did steam them out prior to using the kit. Used the kit per the directions making sure the tank was completely dry before going to the next step. After pouring out the excess liner from the tank it takes a while to continue rotating the tank so as not to have puddling in any one area ,you want to allow enough time in the day to account for this. GREAT RESULTS.

Cleaner worked great. In no time it cleared away the rust. The paint was easy to apply and coated the tank with an epoxy like shield. We will buy it again when needed. Exceeded expectations. Thank you.

Gas tank sealer

Expecting perfection but the car is in the early to mid-stage of its restoration and it will be several months before I use the tank prep and sealer. Also have to wait for the mid-summer Florida heat and humidity to subside.
