Good stuff!

I used this kit to restore the odd-pattern rust staining on my rotors and it worked fantastically on application and looks great. The cleaning and etching phases were very easy and of course the primer and paint coats are as easy as shaking and spraying from the rattle cans. I only did this a couple weeks ago, but I'm hopeful this coating lasts a looong time. For now, I'm very happy with the ease of application and result. -Chris

Has Everything Needed!

I did my calipers with KBS motor coater. Also grabbed this kit for my rotors. Works great. Applied 3 coats of the primer and 2 coats of the color. Looks great and seems very durable.

XTC - Xtreme Temperature Coating

The KBS XTC Xtreme Temperature Coating is a silicone-based high temperature paint that protects metal surfaces operating between 500°F and 1500°F and is guaranteed not to burn off. XTC applies by brush, roll, or spray in 12 colors plus clear, dries to the touch in about 25 minutes, and heat cures at 350°F in 20 to 30 minutes. It resists thermal shock, UV, and weathering on headers, exhaust manifolds, wood stoves, BBQ grills, and smokers, with rust protection when paired with zinc-rich XTC Primer.

XTC Zinc Rich Primer

XTC Zinc Rich Primer is a zinc-rich, single-component high-temperature primer that protects bare steel from corrosion at continuous operating temperatures up to 1200F (648C). XTC Zinc Rich Primer works like galvanizing: the zinc in the film sacrifices itself to protect the steel underneath, which stops rusting and rust streaking on parts exposed to heat, humidity, condensation, and salt air.
