The KBS 25-50 Gallon Tank Sealer Kit contains everything you need to prep and seal up to a 50 gallon tank.

Gold Standard Fuel Tank Sealer is a single-component, easy-to-use fuel tank sealer.

Gold Standard Fuel Tank Sealer is specifically formulated to stop rust and corrosion by forming a tough, fuel impervious coating while simultaneously sealing small pinholes and weld seams.

This kit contains KBS Klean (a water-based, heavy-duty, cleaner/degreaser) and RustBlast (a powerful rust remover/metal etch) to obtain a permanently sealed, rust-free fuel tank. These KBS prep products are formulated to leave a zinc phosphate film.

NOTE:This Kit should work for an average 25-50 gallon tank. Coverage will vary based on application, condition of tank, substrate of tank, and other factors.

Tank restoration

Used that tank restore kit on a 40gal tank, it worked just wonderful , took many hours to prep but the results are just awesome.

Great product, tough job

I cleaned and sealed a 50 gallon international diesel tank with this product. Cleaning properly is the toughest part of this. If tank is badly rusted, use a pressure washer before applying the cleaner and rust remover. It is not easy to continually flip a 50 gallon tank but can be done. Removing the lid on the sealer can is a bit of a trick a paint lid remover would not work had to get aggressive with a screwdriver. Tank looks great and I believe this is a great product at a reasonable price.

Not bad

Kbs coatings is a good product would not recommend for all applications but does an excellent job at providing you with the right ingredients to clean and recoat a tank with ease.

Fantastic Product

I had a severly rested steel gas tank. it was so bad it sounde like there was sand in it. After washing out all the loose rust, even though this tank had been sitting enpty for several years it dissolved the fuel residue that had dried on. The rust blaster did a great job of removing the rest of the rust, and the coating finished the job. I can use my old truck now! Thanks for a great prpoduct.

It took a lot of work to get the gas tank back in shape but it was worth it because this was a 40 gallon tank for motorhome and no one makes a replacement. This product savec the tank and me alot of money.

A must for metal treatment projects

I use this product even on good no rust metal as a protective coating when doing restoration projects, the variety of colors is very beneficial for different ares of treatment.

Great product, just take your time.

I used the 50 gallon tank sealer to repair the fuel tank of my New Holland Bale Wagon. The repair cost 11% of the replacement tank price and I have been running it now for six months. I followed the recommended dry times for the product so the machine was down for a week but being the off season it did not matter. Appears to be a big money saver if you have the time, but if the machine needs to be back on line right away go another route.

Very difficult to get a LIGHT coating

I followed all the directions very carefully. The Aqua-Blast and Rust Blast worked very well and the tank was perfectly clean for the application of the sealer. This is where the trouble began. I also followed the directions here but the problem is that, with my gas tank design, it was impossible to drain enough out without leaving it too thick and this caused small bubbles to form. I drained as much as was possible and continued to rotate the tank to try and keep the sealer as evenly coated as possible as it dried but still the bubbles formed in the end. I would say that unless you can be sure that you can get all the excess sealer out of the tank, don't attempt. The prospect of having to strip the tank again is too agonizing to contemplate.

The Easy Part

I installed the tank sealer in an old tractor that the tank could not removed from. After days of removing rust the rust treatment and sealer as the easy part (applied by brush). Works great!

Great Product

I had no choice but to use in sun exposure. I think that having shade would have made the proceedure better. Mine was a self built diesel tank 18t x14d x48l with two baffles 10 ga. so spinning it around was a workout. Turned out nice.

Quality product,eazy to use

Sealed a 33 gallon fuel tank once diesel now baffled and gasoline.Also painted with rust coat on exterior of tank and it layed out extremely well for using a paintbrush.
