What is The Frame Coater Kit?

Frame Coat kit

Galvanized sealer looks great, brushes on well with cheap paint brush, a foam brush gives good results as well. Cheap foam brushes deteriorate to quickly for long time use. Plan on purchasing a new empty container for leftover product. The can of sealer had a malfunction when removing the original lid, it was adhered to the can resulting in a distorted can and lid.

Motorcycle frame

Followed directions turned out excellent. Zinc phosphate turned rust black and left yellow tint on bare metal. Rust seal primer went on great. Let sit 4 hours and then put on topcoat. Got some topcoat overspray on frame holder and couldn’t believe how it adhered so to unprepared surface.

Frame Restoration Kit

Incredibly strong and the satin black finish looks great. Only complaint I have is that the quart-size paint isn’t enough to do two things coats on a truck frame.

Works great

Fixed up the rear subframe on my 2012 Jeep Patriot. It was on Ohio car and needed the works. The KBS three-step kit worked like a charm and I have faith the treatment will last as long as the car.

Great Product

First off I wanna say I love this product! It makes my frame look insanely professional. I will say I only ended up using the RustSeal out of this product after cleaning the frame up and prepping. Applying was super easy. I will also say don’t apply a huge clump amount because it will have runs and it will dry like an look like an ice cycle lol. I did end up having yo order more product. One can wasn’t enough for single cab Dakota frame.

No signs of rust

I am using this product to restore a 1955 chevy truck. i have bought 3 kits now to slowly coat sections of the truck as I get ready. Do not buy more than you can use at the time. It will harden in the can after being exposed to air within a few weeks depending on the temperature. Otherwise It lays down pretty smooth as long as you follow the directions and use a decent quality brush. I originally used very expensive epoxy primer on a couple smaller parts and they rusted through after getting wet 1 or 2 times. The first parts I coated with rust seal sat out in the yard for over a month and got rained on often during that time. no rust has even slightly shown through. The product creates such a solid barrier that water cant get through to attempt the rusting process. I will slowly coat the entire original Truck body with this product since it works so well. Definitley recommend using this product.

I used KBS to clean blast and rust proof my 1970 VW chassis. All three products work great if you follow the instructions I am happy with the result. KBS will be my new rust solution

Trailer

Completely refurbished my utility trailer with your frame coating kit. Was very rusty but looks great now. I originally used your products to fix rust on the bottom of my 2003 ford excursion 8 years ago and rust has not returned. I love your products and have recommended them to my friends.

Great system

I used the Frame Coater Kit to kill the rust in my rockers of my 2006 Sierra. I also used it on the body and cab mounts, suspension and spring mounts. Using a power washer with the KBS Klean then soaking the remaining areas with the rust treatment and used a cut-in spray gun with the Rust seal. After that I put the slip on ABS plastic covers I bought, New cab mounts and running boards. and the problem is gone. The KBS kit is the foundation for a job that will last forever.

Great Stuff

I've used the rust cleaner, sealer, prep and top coat with great results. The tough coating works great on components subjected to a harsh life. I sprayed it under the deck of our 54 inch rider and it has made it easy to clean the underside and it has stayed on all summer, with no sign of wear!

Great Product needs better container

Love the product made my 69 year old parts look new. Biggest issue is that the can does not seal well after use. Even when cleaned and using a piece of plastic to keep it closed. Recommend finding a plastic container to store what you don’t use. Would be a 5 if not for container.

Frame Is Sealed

Finally got the frame sealed. Used @kbscoatings Frame Coater kit. Similar to others, but $20 less and more color options. You'd be amazed exactly how many sq. ft. of surface area there is on a long bed.

frustrating

I used this kit for a rusty picnic table made of metal grating. I spent several days on the prep (KBS Klean and Rust Blast seem like good products), only to be frustrated when I started painting with Rust Seal. The brushes that came with the kit shed a lot of bristles, and picking bristles out of Rust Seal is a disaster. Rust Seal is like painting with super glue; it's very runny and gets tacky fast. And Rust Seal ruins everything it touches because, like super glue, it's sticky and permanent. I had to use new applicators for each coat and went through many pairs of gloves. Then due to Rust Seal being runny, it was darn near impossible to apply it where metal meets metal without getting a tiny bit of pooling in the joint. To my dismay, ANY pooling causes Rust Seal to bubble when it dries. I knew to expect this from reading the directions, but I'm surprised how easily this happens. Since I was painting metal grating on a metal frame, the whole project ended up looking like a bubbly, boogery mess. Rust Seal is fine for mostly flat surfaces, but it is not suitable for more difficult painting surfaces. I'm sure Rust Seal does what it promises: to seal out rust. But at the end of the day, for my silly little project, I regret not just getting some Rustoleum.

Great Product, Great Company

We recently purchased the KBS Coatings three-step system to refinish a rusty, crusty wrought iron railing in front of our house that extends from our sidewalk to the street. Fifteen years earlier, house painters had applied latex paint to this railing, which made it rust even more than it normally would have over the years. We sanded the railing very well before applying the products. The three-step system worked great, was easy to use, and the railing looks new again. We also must mention the exceptional customer service we received several times we called the company with questions. We highly recommend KBS Coatings and their products.
