Great product!

I had a Harley tank that the o.e. liner was coming loose in and the tank was getting crusty inside from being parked with a half full tank in 2013. Using a homemade tumbler that I built years ago and two lengths of porch swing chain in the tank with your cleaner and stripper got it clean and the sealer laid on smooth and evenly. Great product, works remarkably well!

Works great!

I have a '74 Suzuki motorcycle and the gas tank was in very rough shape. No leaks, but very rusty. I was very impressed with this product. It worked great. One thing I did read in another review, which was helpful, is put some nuts/bolts inside the tank when cleaning. It helps breaks up the debris/rust inside the tank. Definitely recommend this product.

Always use KB Coatings tank liner

I use the full kit..the stripper is the best I have ever used. The kit is a great kit. The liner is great, never had a problem.. take your time and do it right.

Awesome!

I sealed two different Honda motorcycle tanks with KBS. There was more than enough in each kit to seal the tanks and it does an awesome job. Follow the directions exactly and you will not be disappointed!. I'll be buying more for sure.

Give it a shot!

'02 1200 Custom with a failed factory lining. Cycle Tank Sealer PLUS Kit. This was a nerve wracking job considering I wanted to keep the original paint intact. I was torn between KBS and other products, but was glad I chose this one. Be sure and take your time and follow the directions given. Could not believe the amount of crap coming out of the tank after using the KBS Klean.. Thought I had it clean with water, nuts, bolts, and chain sloshing around. Stripped, Kleaned, Blasted then Sealed. Beautiful job! I feel confident it's going to last a long time. Trust this system!

As long as you follow the directions and take your time this product works great. I have used other sealers in the past and I think this one will last a long time.

1971 Honda SL125 project

Like all project people, I have too many irons in the fire at the moment, other words the kit is still in the box. I hope it works, I doubted the half pint of sealer, but I call and was assured it would do the job. We will see.

Works great!

This is the second time I have used KBS on a motorcycle tank. The first time about 5-6 years ago on my Moto Guzzi 750 Ambassador and most recently on a Harley heritage. The Guzzi is holding up extremely well and the job on the Harley went just fine. I am glad that I got the stripper because in California you can't get any strong solvents anymore. The old liner needed to be completely stripped and unfortunately I got some on the top of the tank so, I had to re-coat the color but it needed to be done anyway. So, be careful when using the stripper. I have used many two part epoxies in the boating trade and this single part is awesome and dries very hard. Do not rush the job and make sure the tank is completely dry before applying the paint and make sure to rotate the tank numerous times to make sure you get full coverage. I used a flashlight to verify the coverage in the areas that I could see. Make sure you plug all holes and then let the excess paint drain through those holes and use some solvent to clean any threads that might get covered. Like I say, take your time follow the directions and it should go smoothly.

The instructions were easy to follow all of the products were very good the performance of the product and appearance was excellent I have a TY175 Yamaha tank it’s very small there’s enough to do to at least two of them

Motorcycle tank reline

I have lined motorcycle tanks before and always had good results with KBS. This was the first where I had to remove the old liner. I also used a gallon of acetone to insure I got the old liner out. I think the trick is to take your time and you will always get good results.

It just works flawlessly.

I've used this twice on vintage motorcycle gas tanks. Directions are easy to follow and the results are outstanding. Use this first if you plan to clean up the fuel delivery system on your rusty old vintage motorcycle.

1974 Honda CB450 Gas Tank

After setting for 20 Years my 1974 CB 450 gas tank had some surface rust - very hard to find a new tank - after using the cleaning agent with some nuts and bolts - the acid wash it was ready for the final seal coat - came out looking great - like a new tank inside - getting some new tire and re- building carbs - hope to add some gas and fire it up . I brought it new in 1974 when I was 21- it been garaged kept so it still looks good - 8000 miles...

I HAVE USED MULTIPLE TIMES WITH GREAT RESULTS

IF DONE CORRECTLY AND FOLLOW PREP SOME BIG HOLES NEED TO WELDED FIRSTI HAVE USED THESE TANK SEALERS A LOT WITH ALL POSITIVE RESULTS ON TANKS FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES THAT NO REPRODUCTION TANK IS AVAILABLE GREAT PRODUCT EVEN FOR FIRST TIME USERS IF INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOLLOWED

Absolutely the best

This is the best tank sealer you can buy. Great instructions. if you can rotate a fuel tank you can use this product. The key is definitely to take your time and not rush. Once applied correctly this stuff does not come off. I recently wrecked my bike and had 3 huge dents in it and a few creases. The only way to get the tank useable was to cut it open and bang out the dents from the inside. After cutting open the tank to my surprise the coating was still adhered to the tank and did not split/crack or otherwise come off. After getting the dents out i had to remove the liner so that i could weld the tank back together and seal it again. Let me tell you the gold standard sealer does not come off without plenty of effort. i used paint stripper with methyl chloride in it and let it soak in to it for 30 min and still the sealer would not come off. I tried 60 grit sandpaper and that was extremely slow going. The only way I could get this stuff off was with a wire wheel set and a drill/grinder combo and still had to lay into it heavily to get it out. Bottom line I will never use anything else to line my tanks. This stuff is by far the best out there.

Worked really good

I used the product on a Motorcycle tank and I let the it cure for SEVERAL DAYS TO A WEEK before installing the tank and adding fuel. The durability of the finished product is really strong. I'm very pleased.
