How Do I Prep Fiberglass or Carbon Fiber for KBS MAXX Clear?
Clean the surface with KBS Klean diluted 10 parts hot water to 1 part KBS Klean, scuff with 600 to 1200 grit sandpaper, then repeat the cleaning, rinse, and let the surface dry completely. Fiberglass that sits in water needs a minimum of 3 coats of KBS MAXX Clear to build enough barrier against moisture intrusion and osmotic blistering.
