KBS BlackTop is a permanent, moisture-cured 1K urethane topcoat built for lasting UV stability — zero chalking, zero fading. Apply it directly to bare metal or over RustSeal on chassis, frames, trailers, suspension components, wrought iron, and more. Three sheen options — Gloss, OEM Satin, and Flat Black — apply by brush, roller, or spray with no separate clear coat required.

Chevy frame

I had previously coated this frame with rust seal but I decided I wanted it top coated. I scuffed the frame with a DA with 320 grit sandpaper and 3m scuff pads. I then sprayed the frame with blacktop gloss black coating. It sprays out nicely and covers well. I used 2 quarts on this frame. I would also recommend spraying the rust seal rather than brushing it on.

works as promised

The hardest part was getting the shop to the working temperature, but the paint flowed from the can like a spray gun and sprayed until empty without any waste. Make sure you prep your surfaces and you will be fine. Cutting corners and then expecting a miracle will only cause you pain. Very durable finish!

Frame Coater Kit

Used the frame kit on this frame. KBS Clean which is a very good cleaner for a lot of shop projects. Rust blast then rust seal. Finished with two coats of Black Top.

Rally good product

I chose this for a motorcycle frame restoration over a two-part alternative. Was impressed with the way the product leveled out after both spray and brush operations. The final product is glossy and tough. An observer thought it was powder coat. Good value and good result.

Trailer frame

First off I've used a lot of KBS products with good results. Used this to coat a trailer frame and fenders. I wish I had used self- leveling top coater instead as this is not self- leveling as I had thought .Probably try to go over it with top coater as it looks pretty bad .This product dries very fast and seems too thick. Pulled the bristles out of the brushes I ordered with the product . sure it will make a good base though .

Excellent product for DIY people

I purchased KBS Blacktop in aerosol to top coat the undercarriage and rear end of my 1989 Mustang. The spray pattern and delivery from the can are very consistent from full to empty. I'm still in the process of installing new parts onto the car and am excited to see the durability as advertised.

KBS - Rocks ????

I have used the degreaser, the rust remover, and the seal coat. It does everything they said it would. I just wish it was a little Cheaper so I could use it more often. It rocks hard. Grate products

aerosol frame Coater

GOOD STUFF! Make sure to use the Etching primer first after sanding steel with 80 grit paper. I use Acetone to clean the non rusted steel before painting with primer . follow the spray paint cans directions for drying times and you get a very durable finish!

Awesome Products!

Ran across the KBS line looking for something like POR but with colors. Saw this at a car show and couldnt be happier! Ive coated the frame/floorboards (done for 2 years) and now the engine bay and engine. I even restored an old cycle lift. Ive used several of the products and they are all outstanding. The self leveling is fantastic. Have the headers heat cycled, but not on the car yet. Should know how well that holds up starting in June when the car is back on the road. Best part, their customer service is every bit as good as the product! Theres a cost to it, but been worth every penny. Thanks Team!
