KBS Top Coater Aerosol bonds to fiberglass and many hard plastics when the surface is properly prepared. For fiberglass, lightly sand to create mechanical adhesion, wipe clean, and apply in thin coats. On flexible plastics, adhesion varies significantly by plastic type, so test a small inconspicuous area first. For best adhesion to plastics and fiberglass, apply a compatible adhesion primer such as KBS Fusion SEP before the Top Coater. After use, invert the can and spray for 2 to 3 seconds until only propellant comes out. That clears the nozzle and prevents clogging next time. For overspray or drips on unintended surfaces, remove the wet product with MEK or acetone before it cures. Once fully cured, the coating is very resistant to solvents and mechanical removal is required. Dispose of empty or unusable cans according to local regulations. Use nitrile gloves and adequate ventilation during application, and do not spray near open flames.
