A 1K (one-component) clear coat like DiamondFinish Clear comes ready to use — no hardener or activator required. A 2K (two-component) clear coat requires mixing a resin with a hardener before use, creating pot-life limitations and added cost.

Yes. DiamondFinish Clear can be applied with an HVLP spray gun (1.3–1.4mm tip recommended), a conventional spray gun, aerosol, or brush/roller for smaller projects. Thin no more than 10% with KBS Xpress Thinner if needed for spray application.

No primer is required when applying DiamondFinish Clear to bare, clean metal. Its DTM formula provides excellent adhesion on its own. For maximum corrosion protection, applying a minimum of three coats of DiamondFinish Clear is recommended.
Yes — DiamondFinish Clear is extremely popular for fishing lures and jigs. It produces a glass-like, high-gloss finish that is flexible enough to resist chipping from hooks and strikes. It is fully waterproof once cured and can be dipped or brushed directly onto painted or bare lure bodies.
Yes. DiamondFinish Clear bonds well to fiberglass and is an excellent choice for revitalizing faded or oxidized boat gelcoat, decks, and hull components. Its UV stability and permanent flexibility make it well-suited for demanding marine environments.
For most applications, 2–3 thin coats provide the best results. Apply each coat within the 2–4 hour recoat window. If the window is missed, allow the previous coat to cure fully (7 days) or scuff sand before applying the next coat.
