Can I use lacquer thinner to thin RustSeal for spraying?

We do not recommend using lacquer thinner for thinning RustSeal. Lacquer thinner is incompatible and may cause performance or curing issues. However, lacquer thinner can be used for clean-up purposes only.

For thinning, we recommend using KBS #1 Thinner. If KBS #1 Thinner is not available, Xylene (Xylol) is also compatible and works well.
