Can DiamondFinish Clear be used to seal concrete?
Yes. DiamondFinish Clear is a single-component, ready-to-use, high-solid, moisture-curing urethane with exceptional adhesion properties. It is specifically formulated to seal porous surfaces such as metal, wood, and concrete.
Concrete is an alkaline material that is extremely porous, making it vulnerable to moisture intrusion and chemical damage. DiamondFinish Clear penetrates deeply into the surface to permanently seal the concrete.
Unlike many high-performance concrete coatings, DiamondFinish Clear is a true single-component product with no mixing ratios required. Simply stir and apply — no special equipment needed.
When applied, its thin viscosity allows the coating to wet and penetrate the surface. As it reacts with atmospheric moisture, the curing process begins and the resins expand and interlock within the concrete pores. This allows the coating to become part of the concrete rather than sitting on top of it.
Once cured, the coating forms an extremely tough yet flexible barrier that blocks moisture, seals all pores, and provides excellent resistance to abrasion, impact, and chemicals.
